FEM post-processing with Octave

1/ I'm using Octave since one year or  so and I  find that it's great.
I'm interested in applications  oriented to the Finite Element  Method
and numerical  methods in general.  I want  to  know if there  is some
project  towards     the developpment   of    tools oriented    to FEM
post-processing. 

2/ I have problems with diary when using: page_screen_output ="false".
The commands  are written to  the  diary file,  but  the output of the
commands doesn't. I want to know if someone other has found this prior
to reporting the bug to the bug-octave list.
