omitting the line1 line 2 ... in a plot

How to omitt the line 1 line 2 line 3 ... in a 2-D plot?

I am using octave to do a parameter estimation. I plot the parameter
estimates over time. There are about 25 parameters. Those line1 line2 ...
description in the plot scatter all over the plot. Normally I run xfig to
delete them but this time it is too much.

Is there a option for omitting that in the plot command?
