  You may very well remember better than I do; it has been a while since I
last used it!  (I inferred that, since w95 was the first version of windows
to properly lift itself up out of real-mode by instanceing the underlying
DOS machine at start up, it might have been able to launch each new DOS box
freshly from the original and keep separate non-interfering state for each.)
