When asking for help or reporting problems at the VERY least, you *must*
provide us with the version of GNU make you're using, and the name and
version of operating system you're using.  Without that we can't even
begin to help with problems like this.


There have been some bugs fixed with jobserver potentially losing tokens
for the next release of GNU make.  Please try the current release
candidate:

    ftp://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/make/make-3.81rc2.tar.gz

and see if that works any better.
