I have installed the library for repository on my ubuntu 13.10


Executing the command asn1Parser -v gives me such output:

asn1Parser (libtasn1) 2.14
Packaged by Debian (2.14-2)


So do you think than I install this package manually from sources ??

Most probably you are using an old libtasn1. The manual on the
libtasn1 web site corresponds to the latest released version.
