title GNU/Hurd
        kernel (hd0,5)/boot/gnumach.gz root=device:hd0s6 -s
        module (hd0,5)/hurd/ext2fs.static --multiboot-command-line=
${kernel-command-line} --host-priv-port=${host-port}
--device-master-port=${device-port} --exec-server-task=${exec-task} -T
typed ${root} $(task-create) $(task-resume)
        module (hd0,5)/lib/ld.so.1 /hurd/exec $(exec-task=task-create)
I think it looks ok.

I installed the Hurd files in /dev/hda6 (Linux).
I assume you followed step 2 of http://www.debian.org/ports/hurd/hurd-install
and created /dev/hda6 with:

        mke2fs -b 4096 -o hurd /dev/hda6

Also, make sure /dev/hda6 has a maximum size of 1 GB.

What kind of cpu do you have (intel or amd)? I have an AMD notebook and i've
been trying to install the hurd for a while know! I have similar troubles when
booting the hurd. :(
