I put an add here to the comments below:
Trying out the operations to reach X-window/DebianX under The Hurd on an other 
machine - mach2- , the startx ran throughout the whole procedure ending up with 
these messages:

'AddScreen/ScreenInit failed for driver 0
(EE) VGA(0) Depth 16 not supported by this driver. '

Does anybody want to see the /var/logXFree86..log, just tell me. This is the 
first log trying out startx ever on mach2 (pc_machine_nr_2) The problems 
related to my report below belongs to mach1
