The first time you press it in C-h.  You need to press C-h twice to get
that help.

Just create it in your homedir.

I set 116 to the composekey.

Better set it in your ~/.bashrc.

That is weird.  Where did you put it?


The best fix for your problem is making a .Xdefaults and put those
lines from the wiki in there.
