It's funny that you mentioned that since I had the same problem earlier
this morning.  I implemented it simply by adding these lines in the do
while loop in the example:

           for(int j=0; j<p; j++)
           gsl_vector_set(s->x, j, fabs(gsl_vector_get(s->x, j)));

It may not be optimal but it works.
