So the entries in /dev/sda9/boot/grub/grub.cfg are correct in any 3 cases. But always menu 0 from /dev/sda9/boot/grub/grub.cfg becomes executed after reboot. I guess, the problem could be, that I include another menu in a top level menu. So I will try to work with submenu logic.
So now I have replaced the "menu" commands by "submenu" in the primary grub.cfg. Unfortunately this doen't help too.
Check environment variables during boot - are they set as you expect them? How can I display variables in grub screen, before Linux is booted? Thanks for your hints, -Ulf
