I wish to install linux systems (LinuxMint and Solydxk) on a gpt partitioned disk.
The computer is a CompuLabs FitPc3Pro. The BIOS is Phoenix SBC_2.1.0.333_14X64.
fitpc3 martin # gdisk -l /dev/sda GPT fdisk (gdisk) version 0.8.10
Partition table scan: MBR: protective BSD: not present APM: not present GPT: present
Found valid GPT with protective MBR; using GPT. Disk /dev/sda: 468862128 sectors, 223.6 GiB Logical sector size: 512 bytes Disk identifier (GUID): 5C7CFE3E-1CB1-4585-BE60-B38AEB42B331 Partition table holds up to 128 entries First usable sector is 34, last usable sector is 468862094 Partitions will be aligned on 2048-sector boundaries Total free space is 301948013 sectors (144.0 GiB)

Installation finished. No error reported.
(Only one system is presently installed.)
Upon trying to
start
the system the bios presents the main disk description (ATA HDD0:
Kingstonxxxxxxxxxxxx) and nothing else.
Where have I gone wrong?
