Hi,
I am trying to get a 500 GB, toshiba external usb 3.0, to boot (I have
usb 2, but toshiba claims it is compatible, but slower).
I did a grub-update... it apparently saw/recognized, that I DO have
knoppix installed on it (the toshiba hd. I installed it from the
liveDVD)... From my current Debian Squeeze OS Startup Manager, I made
that disk the preferred OS (by the way, my bios in my Mobile AMD
Athlon(tm) XP-M Processor 3000+ does not seem to recognize the toshiba...).
So when I boot into grub, & choose knoppix... it switches windows,
grrinds a little... & burps back at me; "error no such device." Perhaps
it may not be possible to do, any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks.
Henry
P.s., I now do dual boot w windows xp... usually debian squeeze my main OS
