GRUB2 - install NOT from OS ?

Hello,

GRUB legacy could be installed by booting grub floppy.
I've just made GRUB2 rescue CD(grub floppy equivalent?), booted it and see no options to install GRUB2.

Could someone confirm that GRUB2 can't be installed from it's booted media ?
Or I'm doing something wrong ?

(please don't ask why I need this)
