Hello, I have a MacBook with a EFI 64-bit. I would like to boot Ubuntu 10.04 32-bit from grub EFI 64-bit.
That should work, I believe. (But obviously doesn't and ought to be fixed, though I haven't looked into it.) Did you try booting a 64-bit Linux to see if that works?
Also, I tried to configure grub EFI 64-bit to chainload grub EFI 32-bit, but I get the following error :
That shouldn't work (the EFI library-functions provided by the MacBook are specific to 32-bits or to 64-bits, 64 in the case of your machine).
My MacBook (Macbook2,1 -- mid 2007) has 32-bit-EFI and 64-bit-processor, and I've successfully run both 32bit and 64bit Linuxes on it, although I tend to boot them via grub-BIOS (depending on Linux versions etc., EFI booting seemed to go wrong in various ways in the past when I tried it)
