dvn,
If this is 2 commands in one line - I missed it!!
$ export GNUNET_PREFIX=/usr/local # for example, other locations possible $ ./configure --prefix=$GNUNET_PREFIX --disable-documentation --with-microhttpd=/opt/libmicrohttpd
To late to run again? or start over?
commands should be entered like this?
:~/gnunet_installation/gnunet$ export GNUNET_PREFIX=/usr/local # for example, other locations possible
:~/gnunet_installation/gnunet$ ./configure --prefix=$GNUNET_PREFIX --disable-documentation --with-microhttpd=/opt/libmicrohttpd

Hello stanz,
Thanks for your interest. This looks like it's due to an error on the
website.
sudo usermod -aG gnunet $USER
and make -j$(nproc || echo -n 1)
should be seperate commands. It looks like they were accidently rendered
together on the website.
Try running them independently, one after another and see if that
doesn't solve the problem.
