I have Debian Woody and the neccesary files are in /usr/lib.
Look for a file like 'libvorbis.so.0.2.0' and 'libvorbisenc.so.2.0.0'
Maybe there are wrong versions on your system. Search for 'libvorbis'
with the 'find' or the 'locate'-command.
Do you really have the libs installed?
If you can get it running, don't forget to update the ld-database with
'ldconfig' and make sure /usr/lib is in you /etc/ld.so.conf.
