Doesn't work? How it doesn't work? ;) What happens? 

Here's a guess: Perhaps gnunetd doens't expand "~". Have 
you tried with a full pathname instead?

Note that I'm just guessing here, filling up for ppl lazying 
away at defcon, expensive drinks and high society. ;)
