In the manual M-x clone-indirect-buffer RET isnt supposed to open the clone buffer in another winduw. clone-indirect-buffer-other-window should do that. But both do the same thing (opening clone buffer in a new window) in my Emacs 27.1 https://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/html_node/emacs/Indirect-Buffers.html Alexandros
