No. Emacs can show images in its buffers natively,
you don't need org-mode for that.

Org just gives you a "plain text markup" to more
easily interface to that. Think "living markdown,
without many of its downsides" [1].

You can have code *and* its results in an org
buffer, refresh the result at will, and when
rendering to one of the many export formats have
that consistently handled across all those formats.

a bit with it, which you don't seem interested
