21.3.50 build on mac os x

hello

the carbon app works fine but if i try to run it on the terminal 
(/usr/local/bin/emacs -nw) it freezes at the startup screen and starts 
taking almost all of the cpu. killing it is the only option. this did'n 
use to happen in the previous release. anybody has any ideas?
