converting tkGnats

Hi, I've bit the bullet and started to go through tkGnats to make it happy
with a gnats 4.0 server that I've recently installed.

  1) I can't seem to find the database documentation on the 3.x gnatsd.
     What does LCFG return?

  2) "LIST classes" to gnatsd does not return anything.

I traced through this with gdb with -n.
Should "classes" be a built-in field? I think not.
I don't see where it would actually open the file and read it in.
Is there some document that I should be reading?

  3) I had a lot of difficulties with initial setup.
gnatsd would close the connection with *no* error message if I didn't
have: "*::view" in gnats-adm/gnatsd.access. The host already had access.
I'd like to at least get an error message in that situation. I
understand and agree that it can just close the socket if the host is
never authorized. (However, the paranoid will also have tcp-wrappers)

Something should be logged in any case. I don't get the impression that
syslog is quite setup right by gnatsd.

I'm running a pretty much up-to-date CVS checked version.
  Thanks.
