Hello Wendel,

compiling with MinGW will not allow accessing SQL data bases via ODBC.

If you wish to use ODBC connectivity, please, compile with
Microsoft Visual Studio Express and
Windows Software Development Kit (SDK)
both available for free.
Use the Build Files in the w32 or w64 directory depending on your Windows 
version.
