OK. This error is known and fixed in 0.1.11.

The bottom line of the stuff snipped here is: Starting GIFT before completely 
installing evidently is not a good idea. All scripts that use other scripts 
are looking for these scripts in the install location. If they're not there, 
tough luck.

I suggest you getting a now-current GIFT (uploaded yesterday), the version 
number is 0.1.11, (0.1.10 was buggy, and I cannot remove files from savannah)
