At my place, this is

libtool --version
ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 1.5.2 (1.1220.2.60 2004/01/25 12:25:08) Debian: 192 $

Unfortunately, two years old is pretty outdated for GNU autotools. They
change a lot over time.
Well, that's the version with RedHat 9 - all patches applied. Odd that
they should be so far behind.
