Hi,
in principal gift can index all image types that can be converted by
ImageMagick which includes quite a large number.
In the gift-add-collection.pl file (line ~374) you need to add new
extensions to the list that currently includes jpg, gif etc. for them to
be indexed.
I do not think that the gift version on sourceforge or the gnu server
includes the indexing of video or segmentation as of yet. For that you
should contact the Viper group in Geneva directly.
Cheers, Henning

Hello all,
Does GIFT search MPEG4 encoded images?
what types of coded images can be retrieved by GIFT.?
Is there any tool in MRML/GIFT to carry out
segmentation of MPEG4 encoded image ( single frame
from MPEG4 video sequence)?
Is the 2 stage interactive segmentation method
described in viper website implemented in GIFT & the
same is available as a tool?
Thanks,
Regards,
