It is worth trying the development vrsion of  Emacs 22.xx. I installed it 
because AucTeX recommended that
and I am quite happy.

Because the difference between 21.3 and 21.4 is just a small security
fix which, as far as I understand, doesn't matter on Windows anyway.

If mathematically you end up with the wrong answer, try
multiplying by the page number.
