Should any significance be attached to the fact that
the name of the file on the FTP site is
emacs-21.3-fullbin-i386.tar.gz as opposed to
emacs-21.3a-fullbin-i386.tar.gz as mentioned above?

I can see that it is not the same size as an earlier
such file from there which also did not have the "a"
subversion indicator.
