How do you call emacs? How do you expect emacs to signal completion?
Are you merely saving the buffer from a newly created emacs or are you
using gnuclient/gnuserv to handle the request and signal its
completion?
BTW - I think it's great that you're using emacs integrated with (or
escaping from) MSVC's IDE.
