See the menu entry Options | Truncate Long Lines in this Buffer. Help
on this says:

<menu-bar> <options> <truncate-lines> runs the command toggle-truncate-lines
   which is an interactive compiled Lisp function.
(toggle-truncate-lines)

Toggle whether to truncate long lines on the screen.
