I don't know if this is a well known problem, but I didn't see any reference
to it in the archives.
I installed emacs 21.2 on a win2k machine on the "D:" drive without
administrator rights. When I run emacs, sooner or later emacs locks up the
mini-buffer with repeated tries to create a directory at a location I don't
have user rights. The message I get is:
Creating directory: permission denied, c:/.emacs.d
When I try to terminate emacs in this mode, it always aborts abnormally.
Has anyone seen this problem? and if so, what can I do about it?
Thanks in advance.
Mat
