Do you mean in an interactive bash shell (started with the shell command), or non-interactive shell ?

 Yes I do type C-c C-c, but the signal is not received by the program or script running on the shell.

If I run cygnus bash shell outside of emacs the C-c works.

I thought you had to type C-c C-c for that?
