Gee Jason. Trolling for flames ??? Are you a bit bored over Christmas ?
It's a little beneath you isn't it ?

You are using the same "hand-holdy" OS as the rest of us here aren't you!

What, you mean a bit like the Gnus Summary buffer.... or one of the many
folding modes in Emacs if you think about it! I'm sure you Jason don't
make any use of features like those on your system :-)

> Probably you think my email address is "Rumney, Jason".

If you don't know your own email address, don't expect me to help you
figure it out :-)

I don't know the MAC address of your ethernet card but the intermediate
protocols seem to have done the job of forwarding packets to you. Who
cares if some of this information is hidden from the user ????!!!!

Do you type in the IP address of everyone you send mail to or do you let
your computer figure it out for you ?? If I type "Jason" and my software
fills in the email address then where's the difference ?

Hmmm. Using your logic, then this list was previously a Washington
University list. Was it ? NO!

I fail to see how the host address of a mailing list has any relevance to
the subject matter. :-^)

Has being indoctrinated into being an Emacs maintainer robbed you of the
power of independent thought or is part of the job description a clause
requiring you to repeat the FSF mantra at every opportunity ?

It looks like we're in the same timezone again. Why not join me for a beer
sometime. I'm buying so it'll be FREE. Ooops. Wait. I don't have the
recipe because the brewery won't give it too me. I guess you'll have to
brew your own :-)

Cheers

Jeremy
