Actually, I think this was a worthwhile discussion, or I wouldn't
have asked the question.  The ease for leave-on-server is the
thing that is lacking in Gnus it seems.  Gnus certainly has the
"folders" that VM does.

One of the main things that is really useful for me with Gnus is
how I can put mail and news groups side by side based on subject
area and not retrieval method.
