[h-e-w] cygwin and grep-find

Is anyone sucessfully using grep-find and cygwin with emacs 21?

Whenever I try it my emacs session hangs before I even get to the
prompt. Can't even C-g to regain control.

I think the
(call-process "find" nil nil nil   null-device "-print0")
in grep-compute-defaults never returns.

Should I be setting grep-find-use-xargs instead?
