this ugly hack will save/restore the frame size&pos as you exit/enter
emacs. http://www.emacswiki.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?FrameRestorePackage
there is w32 specific stuff, but probably doesn't need to be.
since it's on a wiki, you can even 'check in' any bug fixes you make -
ha!
