Not from the CGI standard (and therefore not from cgicc).  The connection is
managed by the web server.  It's possible that the web server might send a
signal to abort a CGI application, but that's server dependent.

I don't see anything within the cgicc library to let me detect that a
connection has been aborted.

Is there any such thing?
