I am using some conditions and would like some assessments on the following. 
For instance, are
they all valid?

if [[ -d "$dir" && ! $list_raw ]]; then
tmpfile=$oldfile
fi

if [[ -d "$dir" ]] && [[ ! $list_raw ]]; then
tmpfile=$oldfile
fi

if [[ (-d "$dir") && (! $list_raw) ]]; then
tmpfile=$oldfile
fi

if ([[ -d "$dir" && ! $list_raw ]]); then
tmpfile=$oldfile
fi
