thanks a lot, that's cool :-). And it serves my purpose amazingly well, 
even with sporadic line sequence issue. And anyhow, so far, I only 
occasionally see lines being out of sequence when using builtin shell 
commands like echo, and that's not an issue anyway in my use-case.
