I like his dissertation. He makes mention of PARRY, and of the other
computer models of emotion his says: "Clearly these are diverse
approaches only loosely tied together by the generic categorization
of the work as "emotion research." One theme that all of these
treatments share however, is that working out theories at the level
of detail required for a running computer program forces the theorist
to refine and completely specify all of the hidden "gray areas" of
the theory. This is particularly important for this complex, and
little understood subject."
I like how concerns-of-others are modeled. Doing an actual
implementation shows just how complex it gets.
