Good day,
Going through the GNU Health install manual on Wikibooks [1] I came across:
<qoute> These instructions don't work in Ubuntu 12.04 </quote>
I would like to point out that I managed to get GNU Health 1.6.0 and currently running 1.6.1 on Ubuntu 12.04 (planning to install GNU Health 1.6.2 on Ubuntu 12.04)
I had issues installing the QRCode module, at first I was unable to get JPEG and PNG support working in the Python Imaging Library. I solved the issue by following post #3 from the Ubuntu Forums [2] (note: if I am not mistaken this only affects the 32 Bit version, which I am running)
May be the Python Image Library (PIL) should be added as dependency for Ubuntu 12.04.
Ubuntu 12.04 ships with python 2.7, thus you will get
"DeprecationWarning: With-statements now directly support multiple context managers
with contextmanager:"
which can be safely ignored.
I would like to find out what issues did other users faced whilst trying to install GNU Health on Ubuntu 12.04?
Regards and thanks
Ronald Munjoma
