Hi Edward

2013/8/22 Edward Skees <address@hidden>
I'm a software engineer with a problem to solve.  To solve it I'm looking for an open source health related database that I can use JSON with to store and search data.  It is my understanding that GNU Health has the capability to support external JSON calls but I haven't been able to locate an API or documentation on externally interacting with GNU Health.  Can you enlighten me if I'm wrong or point me to the source materials?

You can take a look at [0] (quite similar in JSON-RPC) and [1]. And here you have an example in Java [2]

On the other hand you can use Proteus [3] to access Tryton server as a client.
