[Guppy-discussion] Help required installing guppy-1.0.2

Mandriva 2008.0, fully updated, Python2.5, pygtk2.0, puppy_1.14
When I do the make install thing, I get
address@hidden guppy-1.0.2]# make install
python setup.py install --prefix=/usr/local
running install
error: invalid Python installation: unable to open 
/usr/lib/python2.5/config/Makefile (No such file or directory)
make: *** [install] Error 1
[True - there is no directory config under python2.5]

I can start guppy directly, but get:
address@hidden tmp]$ cd guppy-1.0.2/guppy
address@hidden guppy]$ ./guppy

directory: '/home/graeme/.guppy'
getDiskSpace(): ERROR: Can not autodetect a Topfield TF5000PVRt
[Not worried about the last one, the Topfield wasn't connected]
I welcome help to do a proper install, but perhaps you could also advise 
if the warnings and errors are significant.
