Hallo,

since xcalc does not work well when running in a container (and in a
stand-alone environment), I tried icecat, since this is what pjotr's
great notes about containers [1] are using as an example.

Now, the result is: icecat does not run in a container, too (it does run
in an environment, though)

I assume icecat or gtk is missing some inputs, which even may need to be
propagated. Any hints?

./pre-inst-env guix environment --container --network
--share=/tmp/.X11-unix --fallback --ad-hoc icecat
export DISPLAY=:0.0
icecat

failed with:

ExceptionHandler::GenerateDump cloned child 46
ExceptionHandler::SendContinueSignalToChild sent continue signal to child
ExceptionHandler::WaitForContinueSignal waiting for continue signal...

This may indicate that pixbuf loaders or the mime database could not be
found.

I tried adding shared-mime-info with no result.
