Unless the codebase has changed a lot recently, no, it doesn't.  The
problem is that some of the supporting tools in ttn's Guile 1.4.x are
significantly different from those in 1.8/1.9, and that makes it
difficult to build the Guile-PG code with 1.8/1.9.

I spent some time recently on this, but didn't get very far before
concluding that it would be a better use of time to look generally at
the tool divergences, and to try to reconcile those.
