I've just downloaded libxm.tar.gz.
./configure && make give me a 2 MB xg.so on my  CRUX linux box (guile 1.6 
, gcc3.2,  gtk-2.0.6,  no motif)

I can't activate examples:       guile -s ./snd-gtk.scm ==> Unbound 
variable dlopen

It seems you don't use any gtk.defs. 
What are the diff beetween libxm and guile-gtk?
Why 2 bindings?
