1.4-1.6 migration tips help request

this message is to ask guile users who have played w/ both 1.4 and 1.5.x
to view and add to the 1.4-1.6 migration tips page:

eventually the guile manual will have migration tips sections for the
various releases, so this is your chance to save yourself and your
fellow programmers some time in the future, and earn the grateful
appreciation of at least this maintainer...

please keep tips succinct; if you want to explain further, create
another page, or link to an already written page.  (there is a maximum
page size of ~16kb, anyway.  also, small edits are less likely to crash
the immature wiki.)
