Re: guile 1.5.4 (beta) available

   I wasn't worried about the path, but the file name.  I downloaded
   something called guile-1.5.4.tar.gz more than a week before this
   message.  Are the version numbers messed up, or is this a
   re-announcement of something that was available a month ago?

it is the latter.  the purpose of the announcement was to reach (through
an undisclosed mailing list composed by mining guile projects entries)
those people who may have missed the original announcement on 4-oct.

in the future, i hope to send out such mail soon after the original
announcement instead of waiting so long.  this time, i was kind of busy
w/ other things (for example:
