hello,
thanks for writing pgscsh. i think it's a good way to go, communicating
over sockets and avoiding all this libpq / compilation run-around. i'm
writing to let you know i had to make a small change to allow pgscsh-0.2
to work w/ guile-1.5.0 and postgresql-7.0.3. the patch is in dir:
http://www.glug.org/people/ttn/software/patches/
and also includes demo-guile.scm, which is basically demo.scm extracted
for guile. unfortunately, large object support fails w/ error (id = 0
invalid) that i'm still investigating, which is why those tests are
commented out in the demo. invocation is like so:
guile -e main -s demo-guile.scm
also, i'm using guile-scsh cvs version dated today. the startup time is
tolerable although a bit on the heavy side. of course, that's not the
fault of pgscsh...
