One problem with GOOPS is that it changes Guile’s behavior globally,
which is not always desirable.
It also introduces run-time and memory overhead here and there. For
instance, “guile -c '(use-modules (oop goops))'” executes in ~70 ms on
my machine, vs. ~25 ms for “guile -c 1”.
