  a huge favour, if i might. i'm using openembedded to build a linux
image for an embedded system, and the only thing between me and a
successful build is that the "guile-native" target won't compile.
i've tried both versions 1.8.6 and 1.8.7, and both fail identically.

  i can upload the entire OE log file for that target build to
pastebin.com if someone wants to check it out but, for now, to make a
long story short, here's the tail end of the build output:

=====

  can anyone explain what's going on there? i know effectively zero
about guile so i'm definitely counting on the charity of strangers to
help out.

  i can post all 853 lines of log file output to pastebin if anyone
wants.
